How to Suspend Workflows in Pneumatic:
A Step-by-Step Guide

In today’s fast-paced business environment, managing and prioritizing workflows is essential for smooth operations and increased productivity. Pneumatic, a powerful workflow management tool, offers a feature to put less important workflows on hold temporarily, allowing your team to focus on more pressing tasks. In this blog post, we walk you through the process of suspending workflows using the snooze feature in Pneumatic.

Step 1: Access the Workflow Management Menu

To snooze a workflow, first access the workflow management menu. You can find this menu by clicking on the three dots located on the workflow tile or in the table view. You can also find the menu on the workflow page itself.

Step 2: Select Snooze

Once you have accessed the workflow management menu, click on the “snooze” option. You will be presented with three different time frames to snooze the workflow: one day, one week, or one month.

Step 3: Choose a Snooze Duration

Select the snooze duration that best suits your needs. Once the workflow is snoozed, it will be removed from the list of active workflows. Additionally, the current task associated with the snoozed workflow will no longer appear in the task buckets of its assignees. This declutters the interface, allowing your team to concentrate on more important tasks.

Step 4: Resume the Workflow (Optional)

When the snooze period ends, the workflow will automatically resume. If you need to resume a snoozed workflow earlier than the set duration, navigate to the snoozed workflows section and manually resume the workflow.

Conclusion

Effectively managing and prioritizing workflows is critical for maintaining a productive work environment. Pneumatic’s snooze feature allows you to temporarily suspend less important workflows, enabling your team to focus on what matters most. By learning to utilize this feature, you can ensure that your team remains laser-focused on high-priority tasks and achieves optimal efficiency.
